As we said earlier, there’s no magic drink to live longer, healthier or happier. But what we do know is that a healthy lifestyle will give you more chance to be healthy a longer period of time.
So your lifestyle is very important and there are several aspects that will influence your health with the life you are living.
Nutrition
What you eat is crucial to prevent or minimise most of the chronic diseases. Overweight can lead to a lot of problems: high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, etc.

Exercise
Most people have a sedentary lifestyle. We just don’t move enough.
Go for a walk, take the steps instead of the lift, do some easy exercises at home or join a gym or fit club. But start moving!!

Stop smoking
Yes, it is bad for your lungs. But what most people don’t realise is that it effects your whole body… in a bad way.
Just don’t do it.


Sleep
Have enough sleep. Studies have shown that we need, on average, at least 8 hours of sleep. Your body needs time to repair itself during the night.
It helps reduce stress and helps prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Keep your room dark, no mobile phones and read a book instead of watching tv in bed.
Less stress
Talking about stress, you have to minimise it. It’s the most unrecognised bug around. Healthy food and exercise are critical.
Take 3 deep breaths to reduce stress when it appears. Breath in slowly for 5 seconds and breath out for 5 seconds. You will feel much better immediately.


Socialise
Mix with positive people. For some people the glass is always half empty, for others, half full.
Have you noticed that when you’re around happy people you feel much better? That you become happier yourself?
So go forward in life with a positive attitude and you will live happier and longer.
